Thame Motorsport Club Treasure Hunt 2004

Sunday 4th July 2004

A good turn out for the Treasure Hunt, with 7 Crews starting and finishing the route from the Red Lion, Haddenham.

The weather threatened heavy rain, but we missed most of it!

There were a couple of unforeseen errors with a couple of the clues, one minor spelling instruction, and one clue that had vanished altogether.

On the whole all the teams were very close on points, although it might have been slightly different if the competitors had read the instructions properly in the first place i.e., there were two parts to the hunt, some people forgot about the pub names around the route, but never mind. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

I think the time and length of the route was just about right judging by people’s comments.

Many thanks to the Red Lion for the use of the BBQ and the back room, I think the rolls might have been a bit soggy otherwise.

As is customary each team brought some salady type foods along, and Rob cooked the burgers and Bangers in true cave-man style! Thanks to Liz for making the burgers – yes, they were much better that shop-bought cardboard numbers.
