Thame Motorsport Club Autotest 2003

The hottest day in the UK since records began (38 degrees C!) was the day we had organised our first Autotest of 2003. As usual this was a grass Autotest with simple tests and minimal reversing. 15 competitors started the event with each being permitted 2 runs at each test, with the best of the 2 runs counting towards their result.

Brian Cammack (Vauxhall Corsa) opened up a small lead on the first tests but was chased all the way by Andy Corner (Subaru Legacy Estate). It was not until the final test that the result was settled with Brian taking the win by just 7.9 seconds from Andy Corner. Between them Brian & Andy set fastest time on all the tests with the final result being Brian 7, Andy 2.

Finishing an excellent 3rd was Dan Corner (Peugeot 205). In only his 2nd Autotest he beat Julz Coulter by the margin of just 1.5 seconds! Well done to all who took part and thank you to those who helped organize and run the event.
