Rob Slingerland / Liz Kirby

Rob & Liz have been rallying since 2003. Their first event was the 2003 Oakington Spring Stages were they finished 30th overall and 18th in class. This was followed by 29th overall and 5th in class at the Abingdon Stages.

Longcross followed in August where they were once again 29th overall, this time 3rd in class. At the Oakington Spring stages in April 2004 they had their best result to-date with an excellent 7th overall and 1st in class. In 7 events they have had only one DNF (Feb 2004, Oakington Stages) when the differential failed.

On the whole the car is still fairly standard, there are a number of improvements that can still be made, but time and money will be a major factor in how quickly these changes can be made, overall the car is competitive and often embarrasses the more powerful cars.

1598cc 8v with Blydenstien stage III head, running on standard fuel injection and management system, modified air intake.
112 bhp @ flywheel (88.6 bhp @ Wheels).
102 lb feet @ flywheel.
Standard F13 box with altered final drive, 4.53. now has a LSD fitted, after the standard one ended up in small pieces.
Started with Avo fast road shocks and springs, now have fitted Leda tarmac front shocks and stiffer springs, and bilstien rear shocks with the avo sport springs.
Cavalier Callipers and larger pagid fast road disc's 268mm on the front with mintex 1155 pads, rear beam still standard drums and shoes.
Yokohama 032R, 185/60/R14s.
