Jez Warrant / Ed Rawlings
Jez says he has been a fan of Rallying and Motorsport since boy thanks to car mad dad and brother. Watched brother,
James, at various single venues, back in the eighties, co driving for Paul Regan. Also followed the legendary Eric Nish to
various events inc. Cambrian.
Started messing around with karts in late nineties, 100c and 125cc water cooled, got quite quick, did a couple of races and
did quite well, realised that I was now spending a lot of money and I could possibly have a rally car instead.
Went to a rally school, drove a mk 2, come home with a trophy and a copy of Motorsport News. Bought a mk2 shell 5 days
later! mk2 still being built by brother, in Cornwall! Spec: 2 litre Vauxhall red top on 45's, quaife 4 spd, wide atlas, full
group 4 spec. should be completed April/May time, but may have to be sold to finance house!
Ambitions for this year: learn the sport, learn my co-driver, learn the Nova and have maximum fun possible. Looking to do
one event a month, if finances permit. The future : looking to do Tour of Cornwall next year (all my family live there now)
and more fun, no serious plans. Want a 6R4 when I grow up!
History of Chris: family friend of Jez, experienced navigator both multi venue and single
venue, looking to have some fun and help me learn.
